St. Albert the Great Autism Program
Offering a Private, Catholic Education for Children with Autism and Asperger Syndrome
We know from experience that no two children are alike and therefore, neither should their treatment or education be the same. St. Albert the Great School is a proud provider of the Autism Scholarship Program. The goals of this program are to ensure that each child is able to reach his or her full potential in a setting where they feel comfortable, confident and safe and to teach and/or improve social, behavioral, communication and academic skills for children with Autism. We are currently in need of a part-time paraprofessional (approximately 4 hours a day/5 days a week) to be the child’s advocate in the classroom and assist in implementing modifications/accommodations in order for the student to be successful in the regular educational setting. This position also requires:
-Effective communication with students and teachers.
-Collection of student data for progress monitoring.
-Assistance with administrative records and preparation of required reports.
-Ability to lift 50 lbs, sit in low chairs, kneel, get up and down from the floor with ease, and walk briskly/run (as needed)
-Attendance at monthly staff meetings and participation in job trainings as requested or encouraged
-Completion of VIRTUS and background check
-Pay starts at $11/hour
